The archive_read_format_rar_read_data function in archive_read_support_format_rar.c in libarchive before 3.2.0 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (crash) via a crafted rar archive.

Weakness

A NULL pointer dereference occurs when the application dereferences a pointer that it expects to be valid, but is NULL, typically causing a crash or exit.
