The _dwarf_calculate_info_section_end_ptr function in libdwarf before 20160923 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (NULL pointer dereference) via a crafted file.

Weakness

A NULL pointer dereference occurs when the application dereferences a pointer that it expects to be valid, but is NULL, typically causing a crash or exit.
