An issue was discovered in Simple Machines Forum (SMF) before release 2.0.17. There is SSRF related to Subs-Package.php and Subs.php because user-supplied data is used directly in curl calls.
The web server receives a URL or similar request from an upstream component and retrieves the contents of this URL, but it does not sufficiently ensure that the request is being sent to the expected destination.
