Server side request forgery (SSRF) in phpBB before 3.2.6 allows checking for the existence of files and services on the local network of the host through the remote avatar upload function.
The web server receives a URL or similar request from an upstream component and retrieves the contents of this URL, but it does not sufficiently ensure that the request is being sent to the expected destination.
