A logic issue was addressed with improved restrictions. This issue is fixed in macOS Catalina 10.15. A malicious application may be able to determine kernel memory layout.
A NULL pointer dereference occurs when the application dereferences a pointer that it expects to be valid, but is NULL, typically causing a crash or exit.
