Improper preservation of permissions in Nagios XI 5.7.4 allows a local, low-privileged, authenticated user to weaken the permissions of files, resulting in low-privileged users being able to write to and execute arbitrary PHP code with root privileges.

The product does not preserve permissions or incorrectly preserves permissions when copying, restoring, or sharing objects, which can cause them to have less restrictive permissions than intended.
