A privilege escalation issue was discovered in the postUser function in HashBrown CMS through 1.3.3. An editor user can change the password hash of an admin users account, or otherwise reconfigure that account.

Weakness

The product does not properly assign, modify, track, or check privileges for an actor, creating an unintended sphere of control for that actor.
