SpringEL injection in the metrics source in Apache Ambari version 2.7.0 to 2.7.6 allows a malicious authenticated user to execute arbitrary code remotely. Users are recommended to upgrade to 2.7.7.

Weakness

The product constructs all or part of an expression language (EL) statement in a framework such as a Java Server Page (JSP) using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended EL statement before it is executed.

Name Vendor Start Version End Version
Ambari Apache 2.7.0 (including) 2.7.7 (excluding)

Potential Mitigations
