An issue in coap_msg.c in Keith Cullens FreeCoAP v.0.7 allows remote attackers to cause a Denial of Service or potentially disclose information via a specially crafted packet.

A NULL pointer dereference occurs when the application dereferences a pointer that it expects to be valid, but is NULL, typically causing a crash or exit.
