The issue was addressed with improved checks. This issue is fixed in macOS Ventura 13.7.3, macOS Sequoia 15.3, macOS Sonoma 14.7.3. A local user may be able to modify protected parts of the file system.
The product does not properly assign, modify, track, or check privileges for an actor, creating an unintended sphere of control for that actor.
