An issue in onos v2.7.0 allows attackers to trigger unexpected behavior within a device connected to a legacy switch via changing the link type from indirect to direct.

Weakness

The code contains a control flow path that does not reflect the algorithm that the path is intended to implement, leading to incorrect behavior any time this path is navigated.
