A NULL Pointer Dereference in RT-Labs P-Net version 1.0.1 or earlier allows an attacker to induce a crash in IO devices that use the library by sending a malicious RPC packet.

A NULL pointer dereference occurs when the application dereferences a pointer that it expects to be valid, but is NULL, typically causing a crash or exit.
